According to wikipedia.org, a backhoe loader is an engineering vehicle, which consists of a tractor, front shovel/bucket and small backhoe in the rear. Due to its small size and versatility, backhoe loaders often find application in urban engineering and small construction projects. The backhoe loader was introduced to the world in 1957 in Burlington, Iowa, or according to others, it was invented in the UK by Joseph Cyril Bamford, founder of JCB. Either way, the backhoe loader has a loader on the front and a backhoe on the back. These two components serve very different functions. Optionally, removable backhoe attachments can be installed. This is an interesting invention, because it's actually a "3 in 1" type of machine, as it can perform the task of a tractor, loader and a backhoe. On a typical construction site, the backhoe operator usually uses all three components to get the job done. Backhoe loaders are used for construction, small demolitions, light transportation of building materials, powering building equipment, digging holes/excavating, breaking asphalt, and paving roads. The main reason for the popularity of backhoes at work all the time is that digging and moving dirt is a big part of a lot of different projects. The backhoe combines power and performance with control and feel which allows the operator to carry out even the most arduous of tasks with ease. The torque tube construction with cast steel-end, provides high structural stability and integrity. There is a cylinder cushioning on the boom and bucket services coupled with a closed centre hydraulic circuit, to protect and monitor the system in order to maintain maximum efficiency. A flow-share system for multi service operation allows even inexperienced operators to quickly take to the controls. The use of the latest CAD product design system has allowed designers to test and model new products enhancements quickly and ensure the machines are always reliable and will provide customers great value for money. Basically, computers are having a huge impact on the backhoe loaders design process. In addition to that, the most hi-tech system of axles, brakes, electrics and hydraulics make the backhoe loader an innovation designed to plough through the hindrances of your business and to take on the toughest conditions. The advantages of this type of machines compared to large excavators, is that they are very compact, they can move all sorts of construction sites and can be easily transported, especially the mini loaders. Another advantage is their amazing capacity. |
